Jessica Neblett
Hi, I'm Jess 🌻 I'm back to work! This October 2026, I'm the new Director of Guest Experience & Hospitality at The Village, a postnatal retreat center in San Francisco. I took almost a year of career break to relocate from Bali to San Francisco, the longest I had in my career. Before that, 12+ years in hotels, coworking spaces, restaurants, retail, and marketplace startups.
I was born in Indonesia, studied international hospitality management in the Netherlands, and have since lived and worked on four continents. I spent more than half of the last decade in broad and strategic ops, where I spent building teams, communities, and exceptional talents.
I'm pretty well-traveled and enjoy doing it when I can. My favorite city in Europe is Prague, which surprises people. Along the way, I picked up some languages, some better than others. Sadly, no Czech yet!
On the side, I keep learning by doing: hands-on projects in AI and consumer marketing, plus the odd app of my own.
I started writing on Substack (but need to get better at it!), and I'm usually halfway through a murder mystery, a book of curious facts, poetry, or a history of humankind.
Off the clock: scuba diving when available, then Pilates, analog photography, board games, and food, always. Given the choice, I'll watch a documentary over anything else. Still on the bucket list: skydiving, and living on a large farm with animals.
My favorite colors are red, burnt orange, moss and yellow.
